AI Governance Gap Assessment

Work through these controls with the people who know what is actually running. Each item is one expected practice. Mark it In place, Partial, or Not in place. Your answers stay in this browser.

Who should be here. Do not run this from memory. Bring whoever administers your software, your office manager, and anyone who leads a team. They know what is actually running.

How to work through it. Read the short title, then the full control. Mark In place, Partial, or Not in place. Answer quickly: you either have the document, or you do not.

About the exposure ratings. The High / Med / Low badge is NIRAP's view of what leaving that control open exposes an organization to. Each rating assumes a typical firm, so treat one that does not fit yours as a starting point rather than a verdict.

High

The gap can produce a regulatory finding, a discrimination claim, client harm, or public damage to your reputation.

Medium

The gap can cost you money, time, or a client, and it makes a High gap more likely to go unnoticed.

Low

The gap creates little direct risk, but it lets practice drift so the same situation gets handled differently from one person to the next.

Where your organization stands

How each of the five areas stands, and how many of its high-exposure controls are still open.

These gaps are what a written AI governance program closes. Guided tools rather than a consulting engagement, one document at a time, and a NIRAP assessor verifies the result before your organization earns its trust badge.

What to do with this

This assessment is yours. It is not scored, not submitted, and not seen by anyone at NIRAP.

The gaps you found are the ones a written AI governance program closes. NIRAP builds those programs as guided tools rather than consulting engagements, so your own people produce the documents and keep them, and there is nobody to schedule.

When those documents exist, a NIRAP assessor reviews them against the V-AGE standard. That is a person checking your work rather than a form you score yourself, which is what stands behind RAICB certification and the trust badge your organization can put in front of a client who asks how you handle AI.
